The residents of Rankinston would be lost without the yellow buses. We have no shop and the mobile van has stopped coming and the mobile postvan has stopped coming too which means we have nothing in the village . Nowhere for lifting money or topping up electricity and no way of getting this as if you can’t lift money then you have no way to get to the nearest village.
We are now getting the bus to take residents to Drongan for free which allows them access to provisions cash machine top ups for electricity, gas . They can pay their rent council tax and they also have access to a chemist.
This is a lifeline for our wee village.
